Patti Opensky (FL)
'75 S1 250
While in Daytona 2000, Patti was riding heroriginal 1971  90 Kaw and bought this bike off a truck as anext step up!!! She claims that the S1 is so much fun to ride, looks good, and has not given her a bit of trouble. The bike is in it's original shape!  Patti entered the Kawasaki bike show in Daytona 2001 and took peoples choice -- her FIRST Trophy!

Pat's and Paul have formed a local 2-stroke club in Sarasota, Fl. See link below:

Rick "Boots" Langley (CA)
75 H2C
This 75 H2 was built in the mid 80s in conjunction with Tony Smith Racing. It belongs to a friend George Allen. Boots claims it is STILL the fastest triple he ever ridden and looks as good as the day he built it. Specs: Denco "King Cobra" spec motor,  recut heads, TSR crank, trans gears undercut, Barnett clutch, 34mm Mikuni round slide carbs, chrome (Real) Denco Chambers. Also,18" polished rims w/SS spokes & nipples.Dual discs (drilled) w/ Ferodo comp pads. Koni 7610 Gas shocks & so much more. <>Boots really is a man with details...very nice Job!

 Rick "Boots" Langley (CA)
75 H2C
Another one of Boots' creations.
Wiseco pistons w/cleaned up ports. Stock carbs w/ K&N's. Kirkland crank. Bead blasted motor and polished cases.  NBI stepped seat from yesteryear. Bridgestone "Duel Compound" tires. NOS Boge-Mullholland Shocks. Moderate rise, stock type handlebar. Paint is 99 Mitsubishi Eclipse Pearl Silver w/72 H2 stripes w/ darker blue to match the colors better. A perfect street cruiser. New owner Scott Van Velder will give a good review (he believe). Boots's past race (and other) injuries have caught up to
him enough that he's not really running it as a business but rather more of a professional hobby shop.

 Frank Hughes (FL)
H2R
I believe this pic was taken in 1977 at Loudon, NH. Frank used to roadrace H2R in the 70s and early 80s. It is really special to have a picture from the past posted here.

Eric Shepherd (Shifty)
(New Zealand)
Eric sent these pics in early 2000s but finally they made it here as promised. Eric also aka "Shifty", a well-known character with the triples community for his witty and humorous personality. A very memorable picture from decades ago indeed -- nicely lofted front end on a '73 H1D.

Eric Shepherd (Shifty)
(New Zealand)
The photo was taken at the last NZ Nationals, Feb 2000 where it placed first in class and runner up in Superbike Eliminator. Sadly, this is pretty much the last of its breed in NZ. 40 mm Lectron carbs, Dyna ignition and 2 step, FBG pipes, clutch & gearbox, and Shifty's own bodywork sum up his dragster.

It is highly likely that Eric had already retired from competitive racing. Let's close a chapter of his life and open up a new one. Last heard that Eric may have taken a new job in the screen writing and hope to see his work released in the future. Congrats and good luck with your new endeavors.
